SEYD is bringing some serious dark-pop realness with her latest track, “Less Of Your Love.”
If you’re not up-to-date with dark-pop happenings, you’ve been missing out – you get all the catchiness of pop with the emotion and lyrical content of indie music.
“Less Of Your Love” is carried by a simple piano and synth beat that runs from start to finish, but it’s the dark-wave production that hits in the chorus that mixes it up.
While the echo-y production of the chorus takes charge (thanks to Motherhood), SEYD’s voice ultimate takes control and pushes the song through.
Her voice is very reminiscent of fellow dark-pop artist, Melanie Martinez (who you should definitely check out), although this doesn’t take away from the song, instead it adds to its charm.
If SEYD comes through with more tracks like this, she could become the next Natalia Kills – before the X Factor Austrailia catastrophe.
