John Gibbons – “P.Y.T (Pretty Young Thing)” | Review

John Gibbons turns a forgettable Michael Jackson song and turns it into an unforgettable club jam!

Remixing a Jackson song is very risky, he’s such a legend with such iconic music, it could go either way. Luckily for Gibbons, he chose a forgotten track by the star that screams Jackson, even if you didn’t know it was him.

Gibbons has treated the late icon as he deserves to be treated, Jackson is still the star of the show, he’s just brought the track into the 21 century!

P.Y.T” was the sixth single from the best-selling album of all time, Thriller, and it didn’t really make huge waves for the star when it was released.

The production all works around Jackson’s vocals that sound as good today as they did 30 years ago. It has shouty sections that clubbers and festival goers live for, it has dance breakdowns that will own the floors and in all, it just has a feel-good nature.

Well done, Gibbons, bringing MJ to yet another generation!
