Martin Garrix – “There For You” ft. Troye Sivan | Review

Martin Garrix delivers another solid effort on new single, “There For You,” with a little help from Troye Sivan – but is it as strong as his last couple of hits?

Garrix has been on a roll lately, with his smash hit with Dua Lipa on “Scared To Be Lonely,” so it was always going to be hard to follow them up – luckily for him, Sivan showed up to save the day.

“There For You” is a track that wouldn’t be lost on the second half of Sivan’s debut album, Blue Neighbourhood, with its minimalist verses and synthy/dancey choruses.

The breakdown on this track isn’t really inspired, it seems almost like it’s shoehorned into the track because Sivan leads it and Garrix needs to remind the listener that it’s actually his track.

Sivan, with his moody vocals, suit the tracks vibes and lyrics perfectly – well, it’s very rare that he does anything that’s not near-perfect, isn’t it?!

Not on the same epic level as it’s predecessors, but not a bad effort from the world’s new Calvin Harris.
