Carly Eden & iamVERSATILE – “ORDINARY” | Review

Carly Eden and iamVERSATILE have come together to create an epic shout out to the weird and unique people of the world on their new track, “ORDINARY.”

There are tonnes of self-acceptance songs out there, Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry, Gaga – the list goes on and on, but they all usually follow the same format – here, Eden and VERSATILE have created a song that doesn’t pander to a particular group of people.

There are a couple of really interesting points about this song, the first being that it sounds as though it was produced by the biggest classic crossover group on the planet, Clean Bandit with its percussion elements on the verse.

To make a song that sounds as though it could have been made by a mega-group, that’s something special – take note Bandit!

The second point is Eden’s voice! It’s just magical and if you were to hear it again, you’d instantly recognise it – it’s interesting tone draws you in as well as being amazed by her overall vocal talent across the whole track.

The infectious tropical-pop beat the song lays on fits right in with what’s popular in today’s musical climate, which only helps Eden’s chance of being spotted in such a crammed music industry – because, god, she deserves it!

Check out the track below and let us know what you think in the comments!
