Ollie Gabriel – “Running Man” | Review

Imagine Emeli Sandé’s “Next To Me” but on steroids and sand by a man – well, you don’t have to because we have Ollie Gabriel with “Running Man!”

Well, it is definitely a major change for Mr Garbriel. Gone are the hip-hop vibes of his 2012 debut, “Days Like This,” and replaced with a timeless, popped up gospel-soul sound – we’ve gotta say, we much prefer this!

Within seconds of hearing “Running Man,” you know it’s not going to sound anything like his past stuff.

The piano and clapping led track brings some serious Sandé vibes, luckily for us, the chorus changes things up – an epic thumping beat is introduced, it genuinely sounds like somebody has supercharged the track!

Gabriel’s voice here is amazing! We already knew he could sing, but we never really knew he could sing this well – why did you hide this voice?!

If this is a taste to come from the singer, we’re definitely already into it!
