Ida Corr offers us a summer bop on her new single, “The Morning After.”
We’re used to hearing big club anthems from Corr, the types of tracks that you’d expect to come off Katy Perry’s latest album, Witness, so it’s nice to hear a softer sound from the star.
Don’t worry! “The Morning After” is still a club song, but rather than have harsh synth beats drive the song, a softer clicking and rousing atmosphere help take the track towards the dance breakdown.
The light and airy vibes of the track make it the perfect summer song – get the cocktails out.
Corr’s voice suits this style, as well as her usual club orientated tracks, so it’d be nice to hear more lighter tunes like this.
Although we shouldn’t be surprised that she can turn her hand to other styles, Love Tales showcased her vocals over an acoustic background and Robosoul saw her dabble in a soul-pop sound.
