The “Despacito” effect hits again, this time it’s on the world conquering girl-band, Little Mix as they team up with other reality show winners, CNCO, on a remixed “Reggaetón Lento.”
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve heard “Despacito,” it’s literally been everywhere.
Well, in true pop fashion, there have been copycats, including the average Matt Terry remix of an Enrique Iglesias song – well, you won’t be surprised to hear that there is another Spanglish remix, the surprise is that it’s actually good.
The track was released in its original form over a year ago, peaking at number two on Spanish charts, chances are that this remix will do one better there and may actually chart here!
While it’s not the most original remix, the two bands vocals suite incredibly well and the mix of English and Spanish doesn’t feel forced for a commercial agenda, it feels natural – even though it’s not.
This team up may not be as spontaneous as it sounds, both bands won a singing competition created by music mogul, Simon Cowell – he’s a smart man!
I can’t believe I’m actually saying this, but this song is actually pretty great – go Spanglish!
Check out the track below and let us know what you think in the comments!
