LÉON – “Body” | Review

LÉON gives us retro post-summer love vibes on her soulful new single, “Body.”

LÉON is known for her alt-pop songs that have been dunked in a bucket of old-school 60s influence with a slight 80s edge that always make for a nostalgic listen – “Body” is no different.

The track which is poised around the idea of the summer loves you have that you know will never last, and the heartbreak that you go through later – which was influenced by LÉONs time working as a waitress.

Often production and lyrics don’t match on mid-tempo songs, but here, the retro vibes and synthy moment really catch the essence of the post-summer love lyrics.

This song, along with the lead single from her upcoming EP, “Surround Me,” is getting us really excited for its release this fall.
