Indiana – “Bad Luck” | Review

Indiana is back with a darker tone on her new single, “Bad Luck.”

We fell in love with Indiana a couple of years ago, with the release of her debut album, No Romeo, a masterclass in minimalistic electro pop – we even saw her live in Birmingham for her enthralling debut headline solo tour.

“Bad Luck” brings the punch the punch that “Solo Dancing” had, with the mystery of “No Romeo,” mixed with a dash of the darker sounds we heard in “Jack” – it makes for an amazing listen.

The more present tones in the production push Indiana’s subtle, yet powerful, voice to the forefront of the song as she takes control of the track.

Talking to Clash, Indiana explained; “All my songs are exaggerated versions of myself or something about me. ‘Bad Luck’ explores the tendency I sometimes have of fucking up someone’s life without meaning to.”

We’ve been excited for new music from Indiana for a while, so we’re extremely pleased it’s finally arrived…is it too much to ask for a whole album now?!
