KLP – “Melt” | Review

We’ve all been sleeping on KLP for far too long, it’s time to wake up and take in her pop amazingness, something she shows yet again on new single, “Melt.”

I’ve heard some of KLP (real name Kristy Lee Peters) before, but I’ve never made an active effort to listen to her previous singles, which is something I regret because this woman is bloody great.

“Back In The Room”  is one of those tracks that just lights up the room, and her debut EP, Revolution, is one of the strongest debuts I’ve EVER heard.

“Melt” is currently sounding with its electro, synth-pop production, yet has a sense of 80s nostalgia mixed with a bit of 90s experimentation which altogether offer an interestingly great flavouring!

Her vocals don’t have the greatest impact on the song as it’s more about the melody as a whole, but they certainly add a nice layer to the song – it’s not like she can’t sing, have a listen to her older stuff!

Welcome to our new obsession, KLP!
