Demi Lovato brings a throwback vibe with the latest offering from her upcoming album with, “You Don’t Do It For Me Anymore.”
Demi Lovato is readying the release of Tell Me You Love Me, due August 29, and she’s definitely setting the bar high with the trio of previews we’ve heard of the album.
Lovato is totally stripping this one back for us, and don’t we all love a good Lovato ballad?!
She seems to be using her best instrument on this album, her wonderful and ferociously powerful voice, from the pop moment of “Sorry Not Sorry,” to the hand-clapping ballad that what “Tell Me You Love Me,” the voice is back.
On her last full-length offering, Confident, we had a lot of the focus on the production rather than the vocal, which is a shame when she has so much to give.
“YDDIFMA” has an old-school kinda soul vibe to it which really suits the tone of Lovato’s voice, as well as giving it room to flex and be the main draw of the song.
What she does beautifully here is transition from light notes and high notes to straight up powerful, hair dryer effect vocals that simply blow you away.
We can’t wait to hear what her sixth studio album will offer us.
