Lao Ra brings her Latin roots to spice up her new earworm of a track, “Me Gusta,” featuring Afro B.
Ra has already made a name for herself over the past year with her unconventional, yet unique singles, “Bala,” “Drum Machine” and “Body Bounce” – now, using the world-pop sounds that are taking over the world, she’s putting her own spin on it.
“Me Gusta” sounds influenced by the half Spanish\half English tracks “Despacito, but at the same time sound nothing like them.
The afro-beats, dancehall vibes, and standard pop sound blend together to create one of the best summer feeling songs of the year – only helped by the undeniable Afro B.
The track is about women owning their sexuality and how they use it, and this track with the lyrics, the sensual delivery, and Ra’s irresistible attitude really sell this message.
