WILDES – “Ghost” | Review

WILDES releases her best single yet with the beautifully haunting, “Ghost.”

If you’ve heard any of WILDES before you’ll know she is a wonderful alt-pop artist whose vocal is like a breath of fresh air and is reminiscent of Indiana and Florence Welsh.

“Ghost” is a slow building song at first, with an atmospheric vibe before a piano takes over, and along with her stunning vocal, drive towards the storm like break of the chorus.

The song genuinely sends chills down your spine as the haunting vocal and rousing production seamlessly blend to create a piece of piercing audio art.

Talking about the track, WILDES explains “it’s a song about the effects a past lover has on our future selves.  Their words haunt us, and we long for their memories to remain after they’ve gone.  Even the smallest moment with them can shape who we become”.
