Niall Horan – “Too Much To Ask” | Review

Following the success of “Slow Hands,” Niall Horan is back with his new ballad, ” Too Much To Ask.”

The former One Direction stars debut, “This Town,” wasn’t the hit many had hoped for, but his follow up, “Slow Hands,” caught the imagination of the public and went on to outperform his debut in most markets.

Horan keeps offering us with new sounds, which is totally what we need, we’ve had folk, funk and now it’s a straight up pop ballad.

The simple piano leads into a mid-tempo chorus where his voice is allowed to take centre stage, and while they don’t have the same power that Harry Styles has, it’s still a pleasant vocal that can carry a song.

The heartfelt heartbreak ballad can touch anyone with lyrics like; “do you still think of me sometimes?” and “Tell me there are things that you regret, ’cause if I’m being honest I ain’t over you yet… is it too much to ask?” – we’ve all felt like this at some point.

Horan has just announced the release of his debut album, Flicker, due out October 20.
