Hannah Jane Lewis – “Raincheck” | Review

Hannah Jane Lewis releases her most accessible song yet with the post-summer jam, “Raincheck.”

Lewis’ previous tracks like “Bend or Break” and “Why Start A War” were great pieces of minimalistic, alt-pop esque tracks, but now the star seems to be turning down a more straightforward pop lane – and we’re so here for it.

You can tell from the first piano chord that “Raincheck” is going to be a fun, upbeat, summer-ready pop tune, and as the song progresses you’re not disappointed with it’s anthemic, throw your arms in the air style chorus.

Citing the likes of Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera as influences, you can definitely hear the effect of listening to these artists on the song with its unashamedly catchy pop vibes.

The track might be about taking things slower, but we just want more from Lewis, and fast!
