Catherine Mcgrath brings country to a different audience with her new single, “Talk of This Town.”
Country music is immensely popular in the U.S, but over here in the U.K it very rarely crossover into a hit, even Taylor Swift failed to have a mega-hit back in her country days.
Well, McGrath is here to try and change that.
“Talk of This Town” is the most stereotypical country song we’ve heard from the singer who usually goes in a more country-folk/pop direction – and we’ve got to say, it’s definitely working for her.
The pop side of the song really shines through, helping the song become more than just another country song, and with McGrath’s sweet voice bring the song to a new level of easy listening.
The track is the first taste of her upcoming debut album expected to be released in early 2018.
McGrath is also set to go on tour later this year – check out the dates below the video and let us know what you think of the track and if you’ll be attending.
