Tove Styrke – “Mistakes” | Review

Tove Styrke doesn’t quite hit the highs of previous releases on her latest track, “Mistake.”

Styrke has always been a bit of a bad ass, but her last single, “Say My Name,” lost some of the harsh electronic influences of earlier singles, and it was a welcome change.

“Mistakes” just doesn’t seem to come together as much as its predecessor.

That’s not to say it’s a bad song, the verses and its chorus (once the beat drops) is a glorious mix of ballsy pop-electronica that makes you want to dance stupidly around your room.

But, it’s that complete loss of production during the chorus that really throws the song of balance and kinda kills the vibes.

We’re still here for this current era though, so please hit us with more brilliant┬áStyrke-ness soon!
