Over 25 years after their debut, The Philistines Jr. have released the visuals for their cover of Interpol‘s, “NYC.”
Brothers Peter and Tarquin Katis began releasing music as The Philistines Jr. many years ago. Multiple albums, tours, Peel Sessions and side projects followed throughout the 90s, their intriguing brand of experimental indie-pop simultaneously endearing and/or off-putting fans and critics alike.
After returning in 2010 with “If a band plays in the woods…?” the band is back again with a new wind – with help from their kids!
With Tarquin’s own children, Henry (14) and Helen (10) handling the vocals, the video takes a more reflective message with a young kid riding around NYC on a unicycle.
“NYC” in an exciting teaser to the band’s upcoming EP which is now accompanied by this fresh set of visuals.
