WALK THE MOON – “One Foot” | Review

WALK THE MOON turn what could have been a straight-up indie-pop song into a huge pop moment!

The band burst onto the scene with the self-titled indie-pop album back in 2012 and ended up supporting P!nk on tour (they were great, I was there!), but it was nothing compared to what came next.

Mega-hit, “Shut Up and Dance,” propelled the band to superstar status, and gave everyone their new favourite song for a few months – with such a high comes a fall, although it wasn’t necessarily justified.

“One Foot” proves this. While it starts off like many indie-pop songs, it quickly rouses into possibly one of the best choruses I’ve heard in a long time – you simply don’t expect the massive dance break that gives so much life.

The band have a sense of confidence that comes with having such a huge hit, just look at Carly Rae Jepson, her last album was the best pop moment of this decade.

We can’t wait to hear the next full-length album from WALK THE MOON.
