Ecca Vandal – “Future Heroine” | Review

Musical enigma, Ecca Vandal, returns with another genre-bending tune in the form of “Future Heroine.”

The Melbourne star makes you listen to her, whether you want to or not, “Running At People Exiting” reminds us of heydays of Nirvana while “Battle Royal” reminds of early Paramore, all topped off with the undeniable attitude of Gwen Stefani.

“Future Heroine” steps out of the huge shadows of its predecessors with a strong electro vibe that reminiscent of Charli XCX’s heavier tunes, and of course, topped off with an earworm of a chorus.

The confidence that oozes from Vandal is outstanding, it’s something we expect to hear from the worlds biggest stars.

Song by song she’s redefying genre boundaries, and all this with a punk-ish nature that’s as refreshing as it was in the 80s.

We can’t wait for her self-titled album, due out October 20.

Check out her new track below and let us know what you think in the comments!
