Eleanor – “Under My Skin” | Review

Eleanor wows us again with her brilliant second solo single, “Under My Skin.”

Known for being the female half of Manchester’s glossy pop-synth sibling duo Girl Friend, Eleanor now brings a new aesthetic to the electro/disco pop band – and by god is it good!

All I Want” was a wonderfully rousing synth-pop introduction to the star and she has exceeded our expectations with “Under My Skin.”

The synth-laden undercurrent gets right under your skin (no pun intended) and you feel yourself racing towards the restrained 80s inspired chorus – you can just imagine the video being filmed on a hand-held camera at a school disco with shit tonnes of confetti and glitter.

Eleanor’s sweet and pitched vocal offer a juxtaposition next to the deep and echoing production, creating a beautiful illusion for our ears.

We can’t wait to see what else the star has to offer.
