Firewoodisland – “Dearest Brother” | Review

Firewoodisland release the epic folk-pop lead from their upcoming album, Dearest Brother.”

If you’ve heard of the band before, you’ll have fallen in love with their folky beginnings and become attached to their later, more pop-leaning tracks, like “Soldier.”

“Dearest Brother” finds itself perfectly sandwiched between their folky roots and their newer, more commercial pop sound – much the same way as Fleet Foxes and Of Monsters and Men have.

In fact, their new single has more similarities to Imagine Dragons, with its explosive chorus that could lift an entire stadium full of people to their feet.

It really feels like the band is truly coming into its own here, which can only be a good sign for their upcoming debut album!
