Robin Bengtsson – “Dark Angel” | Review

Robin Bengtsson explodes back onto the scene with his 80s inspired new single, “Dark Angel.”

You might recognise Bengtsson’s name if you’re from Europe, the singer sang for Sweden in this years Eurovision Song Contest – and as always, Sweden did well and he managed to reach number five on the tally with, “I Can’t Go On.”

His latest single, “Dark Angel,” takes a different direction to the upbeat and dancey Eurovision entry, it’s a lot darker and moodier, going down a more synthy path.

We have to say, we like the change in sound, it’s like he’s allowed himself to be emersed in the true greatness of pop, crushing synths, electronic echoes and 80s inspired explosive choruses.

Bengtsson’s voice is very soulful, bringing a sultry (can you use that word for a man? Well, we’re going with it) vibe to the thunderous track.
