Tom Walker stuns yet again with his new single, “Leave A Light on.”
Walker is making quite a name for himself, releasing the great and thunderous, “Heartland,” a few months ago, along with an amazing video as well as peaking at number 22 on the Hot AC chart (currently still at #33), in the US – not bad going, right?!
Well, his latest single, “Leave A Light On,” couldn’t be more different!
The track keeps to his acoustic roots, relying on his tear-jerking vocal, here, however, there’s an added pop element with a soft, twinkling production layered across the chorus – it’s a welcome contrast to the harsh beats of “Heartland.”
The track discusses losing a friend to drugs, seeing them dwindle away into a shadow of the person they used to be, nearly at death’s door…
“If you carry on abusing, you’ll be robbed from us/I refuse to lose another friend to drugs/Just come home, don’t let go”
It’s a truly gut-wrenching song – all paying homage to his fantastic songwriting.
