Woodes – “Dots” | Review

Offering editorial realness on its cover, Woodes latest single, “Dots,” gives us the atmospheric experience we need.

Woodes is great isn’t she?! Delivering flawless, left-of-centre electro-pop is something that seems to come naturally to the Australian native – I mean, “Run For It” is pretty fucking epic!

“Dots” is the perfect song for winter, the ambience that the track offers is almost overwhelming, taking us on a trip – it makes us feel like we’re flying over the sea with the cold winds hitting our face and we’re experiencing life in fast forward.

The synths and drums explode and “connect the dots” between the restrained verses and spectacular showcase that is the chorus.

Woodes states; “When I listen to “Dots” I see different terrains, different parts of the world. No matter where I am I find little sparks from human connections and landscapes. No matter where I travel to, I’m still connected to home.”

We see big things for Woodes in the future!!
