FLETCHER – “Undrunk” | Review

FLETCHER is brutally honest on her new breakup anthem, “Undrunk.”

The singer-songwriter broke onto the music scene back in 2015 with her debut single, “War Paint,” which has gone on to amass more than 20 million streams on Spotify. After a few years experimenting with her sound, FLETCHER seems to have found her ‘thing’ – and we’re living for it.

Following the brilliant mid-tempo, synth-laden ballad, “I Believe You,” the artist is back and not holding back on her “Undrunk.”

Production-wise, it meets in between her previous more ‘pop’ sound and her more atmospheric synth induced vibes – and we’re totally here for it.

FLETCHERS vocals give the track a sense of familiarity and from the first note makes you feel comfortable – her recognisable vocal and that silky tone just hook you from the first note.

Lyrically, she spills the tea that we all think during/after a breakup.

Wish I could get a little un-drunk so I could un-call you/At 5 in the morning, I would un-fuck you/But some things you can’t undo

If I could put all the lyrics here I would because every single one is worth quoting here.

The relatability and brutal honesty of this track is what really makes it stand out amongst the ocean of breakup songs in this world – as well as the perfect production.

I have a little feeling this will go on to be FLETCHER’s biggest hit yet.
