LÉON – “You And I” | Review

LÉON delivers her best single yet with the beautiful, “You And I.”

LÉON has been around for a while, bringing her retro sound that is reminiscent of 60s/70s, yet has the sensibilities of today’s music to keep it current and exciting.

The Swedish-born singer has a richness tone to her vocal that not only makes it instantly recognisable, but has a lifting vibe to it that just takes you away for the almost four-minute track.

The thumping synth that carries the song over the indie background and allows the storytelling to unfold.

Lyrically LÉON discusses an ex and how incompatible they were, yet there’s still an undeniable connection – whether that’s healthy or not.

We don’t ever talk about it/But in my head you say, say you still want it/That you’re done with being lonely now\It’s you and I

The indie-pop star is sure to wow us even more with the release of her debut self-titled album, out March 1st.
