The mysterious four-piece girl band, Nasty Cherry, burst out of the gate with their debut single, “Win.”
The four girls are a bit of an entity at the moment, being pushed by Charli XCX for months (without music) as well as a few Instagram posts have intrigued the pop universe, but until now, no one has known who or what they are.
Charli not only pushed them, but they’re signed to her label, Vroom Vroom Recordings, and she’s co-written this song for the band.
Their debut single, “Win,” is a brilliant pop-punk track that mixes bratty energy, similar to the one that was present of Charli’s criminally underrated “Sucker.”
The song isn’t overly complicated, but the simplicity of the rousing and reminiscent punk vibes along with the pop sensibilities make it a winning and intriguing opening for the band we don’t know much about.
