Veronica Maggio – “Kurt Cobain” | Review

Veronica Maggio is back with her carefree new single, “Kurt Cobain.”

You may not have heard of Maggio, but over in Sweden, she is a pretty big deal with five Grammis (Swedish Grammys), 31 platinum awards as well as being one of the Swedish stars to bring the Swedish language back to the top of the charts.

The Swedish singer has been away for three years so she needed a sound to make a splash, and she’s done just that.

“Kurt Cobain” is similar enough to her previous style to still be a Maggio track, but it has a new, a more current pop edge that drags it into what’s popular across the globe.

The key moment of the record is its subtle chorus that sneaks in before growing into a perfectly created carefree track that you just imagine listening to on a road trip with your friends on a glorious summers day!

We can’t wait to see what else Maggio does this era!

K-pop has proven that you don’t need to understand the lyric content in order to take over the world, so there’s no reason why Maggio can’t reach a new audience – it’s 2019 after all!
