The Driver Era release yet another perfect indie-pop song that sounds current while taking you back to the heydays of indie music, on “Feel You Now.”
Made up of brothers Ross and Rocky Lynch, The Driver Era is fast becoming a name to watch in the music industry, and not just because Ross currently stars in the Netflix smash, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (which is pretty amazing, if you haven’t watched it).
As the five-piece band, R5, they leaned in a more pop and dance direction, but as The Driver Era, their sound is distinctly more indie-influenced, with the pop sensibilities that make a killer hook.
“Feel You Now” is that perfect kind of song you’d play in the car on a long road trip, a carefree and rousing vibe that has meticulously honed by the brothers.
The record has a definite mid-naughties indie vibe to it, those of The Killers, Snow Patrol and Kaiser Chiefs, while still containing an experimental nature and a pop-thinking punch!
The duo’s aim when producing tracks was “to create music without self-imposed limitations, and to always push for sonic innovation” – they have definitely done that!
