LION – “Second Hand” | Review

LION has released yet another brilliant gutsy rock track, this time in the form of “Second Hand.”

Last year LION, aka Beth Lowen, released her debut self-titled EP which featured the brilliant “Oh No” (if that isn’t on your driving playlist, please get out) and her debut single, “Self Control.”

“Second Hand” is an emotional rock ballad, but like all of her songs, the track has a pop edge to it, the brutal honesty and melody offer us a host of influences – Florence Welch almost with the epic feeling.

LION’s vocals are instantly memorable, with grit to them that exudes emotion, along with a vulnerability that you don’t usually get from a rocky track like Alanis Morissette delivered on Jagged Little Pill.

It’s still only very early on in LION’s trajectory, but we see big things for the British star – we need someone to rival the man-lead indie/rock scene!

Check the track out below and let us know what you think in the comments!
