Emma Blackery – “Cute Without You” | Review

Emma Blackery is back with a new single in the form of the sickly sweet, “Cute Without You.”

It’s only been a few months since Blackery graced us with her brilliant debut album,¬†Villian, and she’s now ready to give us even more music – and we’re living.

Sticking to the largely upbeat album, “Cute Without You” is a sticky sweet pop track that bops along with a simple click before the chorus effortlessly floats in.

While the production of the track is a very child-friendly (in the best way possible), the lyrics discuss a more adult problem, Blackery not being obsessed with a former boo who keeps playing games – typical, right?!

“Stop I’m not here for your games/Telling me you care about me over and over again/Could give ah… about feelings unless its about Y O U now…And I know you think I’m crazy/At least that’s what you told my friends/Does it hurt that I’m not?”

We can’t wait to see what else Blackery offers next because with each release she’s getting better and better!
