Song of the Week: FLETCHER – “If You’re Gonna Lie” | Review

FLETCHER returns the personal, mid-tempo bop, “If You’re Gonna Lie.”

A couple of months ago, FLETCHER released one of this year’s best singles, “Undrunk,” so it’s a bit of understatement to say we were excited about her next release, and she definitely hasn’t let us down!

“If You’re Gonna Lie” is a personal tale from the star, about a failing relationship which she can’t quite let go of, “so if you’re gonna lie, do it in my bed.”

FLETCHER’s vocals are extremely emotional here, exuding the pain that she felt during that time – holding onto the belt for the last few moments of the song.

The production of the track follows the same kind of storytelling of its predecessor, an emotional banger that draws you in with the verses before giving a late-night, drunk wallowing dance-style drop – the best kind.

Honestly, we need the whole album of FLETCHER discussing her failed relationship/s because they are pop perfection!
