The Driver Era switch it up again with their surprisingly inspiring new single, “Welcome to the End of Your Life.”
Ross and Rocky Lynch have fast made an impression on the music industry, racking up 7 million streams with their debut single, “Preacher Man” and continuing to rack up more and more fans with each brilliant release!
The duo always manages to rest on that line of alt-pop and alt-rock with their infectious hooks and ear for radio, but “WTTEOYL” is perhaps their rockiest, almost punk, sound yet – and we love it.
Opening over a simple guitar, you’re ready for a mid-tempo bop from the band with Ross’s vocals smoothly gliding along – then the first chorus hits and you know you’re about to get a whole lot more.
The song peaks towards the end with the guitar riff and Ross’s vocals at the most ‘pushed’ we’ve heard them.
The whole song takes you on a journey, the electric ending feels like the final destination, you’re finally living life.
Lyrically, the track is all about just living life to the fullest, “‘Welcome to the End of Your Life’ sounds like a morbid title, but in actuality, it’s meant to leave a positive impression on the listener,” explains Ross. “Go live your life before it’s too late. Take that chance, ask her to dance.”
