Kylie Minogue gives us strong old-school Kylie vibes with her new single, “New York City.”
In the early 2000s, Kylie was untouchable, everything she released turned to gold and she fast became an icon, especially for the LGBT+ community and in the last decade or so, the community has lapped up her singles, even if the charts haven’t.
“New York City” is the first single from the Aussie stars new Greatest Hits album and we’re fully living.
It gives us old Kylie vibes on the chorus with its perfect pop production that wouldn’t feel lost on late 90s album from the star.
Kylie’s vocals are heavily altered on the verses but are allowed to shine across the chorus where the party really is.
Miss Minogue always delivers the kind of pop songs that just transport you to another world, free of cares and worries – and that’s what the best pop songs should do!
