Frawley offers us a bit of grit and excitement in a week full of ‘too perfect’ pop releases with her debut single “Hard Boy.”
Okay, so, before we get into this track, we need to push the fact that “Hard Boy” is Frawley’s FIRST single…COMING OUT THE GATE THIS HARD SHOULDN’T BE ALLOWED.
“Hard Boy” has a very alt-pop vibe mixed with an indie sound along the verses and Frawley’s vocals glide over the guitar before the chorus crashes in!
The chorus delivers a double punch; one, it’s bloody amazing and gives us life, and two, it samples the melody from Wheatus’s “Teenage Dirtbag,” giving us nostalgia.
The attitude that flows through the song is undeniable and makes you feel like a bit of a badass, to be honest.
“Cause you think you’re such a hard boy baby/And that’s just the things I’m into lately/But I know I won’t feel this way tomorrow/Let’s see how actual hard you are when I leave.”
This track has given us all the life we need to get through today – we can’t wait to see what the star offers us next!
