Dan Owen – “Run Me Down” | Review

Dan Owen returns with a bolder sound on his new single, “Run Me Down.”

Last year was a triumphant one for Owen, releasing his debut album to high critical acclaim, and gaining more than 30 million streams on Spotify – not bad going for a guy from Shrewsbury.

The singer-songwriter’s new track, “Run Me Down,” see’s him build on the folk-rock sound that he explored on his debut.

There’s a bit more attitude from Owen, helping the rockier elements come to the forefront, especially in the last minute where his voice is on the edge of breaking.

It seems that touring the world with Jake Bugg, Kaleo and Birdy has given him more confidence to be a bit more experimental with his sound, while still staying true to the core sound.

I’m very excited to see what Owen offers next!
