Ed Sheeran is hot on the promotional run for his new album/mixtape/thing, No6 Collaborations Project, with his new single, “Cross Me.”
If you thought Sheeran was going to bask in the success of his Justin Bieber single, “I Don’t Care,” you were wrong, in these days where Ariana Grande and the hip-hop community have kinda destroyed (in a great way) the ‘typical’ release schedule, expect a single any day, maybe every day!
“Cross Me” has more of hip-hop vibe to it, and that’s not just because of its huge collaborators, Chance The Rapper and PnB Rock.
I’m so glad Sheeran’s not going with his usual trick of one upbeat single and then just a slew of ballads because personally, I think he’s at his best when he is on something with more of a production.
The track is a bit repetitive and is nowhere near as catchy as his previous number one smash, but fans and radio will eat this alive!
