LOVA – “I Can Do Better” | Review

LOVA is sick of the belief that women are expected to live in the man’s shadow on her new single, “I Can Do Better.”

The Swedish popstar is making waves, her last single, “My Name Isn’t” was a female empowerment anthem that we can all get down to with her unique take on pop, and her debut EP, scripted reality, was a six-song piece of effortlessly cool and edgy pop.

Running with the female empowerment message of “My Name Isn’t,” her new single basically puts the middle finger up at misogynist men and the misogynistic attitude of society

“Anything you can do, I can do better/Anywhere you go, I can go further/You think you bigger, you think you’re clever, but anything you do I can do better/Everything that you do, I’ve got to work harder/Every word that you say I’ve got to shout louder/You’re the problem, not my gender.”

The production bounces along with a typical pop beat, but with a slight hazy film over it, and when you add LOVA’s almost alternative attitude and style, it makes for a unique listening experience that you just want to keep living!

LOVA has proven in very little time that she possesses all kinds of unreal pop talent, and we can’t wait to see how that manifests itself next!
