Little Mix – “Bounce Back” | Review

Little Mix only released their fifth studio album, LM5, in November, but they’re ready to “Bounce Back” and move onto their new era.

It’s safe to say that LM5 wasn’t as big as the girls were expecting, with only their lead single, “Woman Like Me,” featuring Nicki Minaj, making a splash – a slightly unfortunate release with the odd song on the album being great (“Think About Us” and “More Than Words), but otherwise an unremarkable record.

“Bounce Back,” to put it simply, isn’t great – actually, it’s the worst song they’ve ever released.

The best part of the song is the Soul II Soul sample of “Back to Life” during the chorus, the rest of the song ruined by an annoying, hyper production that goes too hard and distracts you from the song – in fact, it makes you want to turn it off.

I just don’t understand how the girls and their record label made this song and thought it’d be a brilliant choice for a lead single, it’s barely even passable as a filler track.

Little Mix have to be thankful for the sample because it’s the only part worth listening to.
